Sushila Industries offers premium-quality  JAL CPVC Solvent Cement specially formulated for strong, leak-proof jointing of CPVC pipes and fittings. Designed for hot and cold water plumbing systems, our solvent cement ensures reliable bonding, quick setting, and long-lasting performance.

? Product Overview

JAL CPVC Solvent Cement works by chemically fusing JAL CPVC pipes and fittings to create a permanent, monolithic joint. It provides high bonding strength and excellent resistance to pressure, temperature, and chemicals.

Key Characteristics and Components

  • Composition: Contains CPVC resin, solvents (often THF, MEK), and stabilizers to prevent degradation.
  • Appearance: JAL CPVC  Solvent Usually a viscous, clear, or yellow-tinted liquid (sometimes gray/orange for heavy-duty).
  • Mechanism: Softens the surface material, allowing pipes and fittings to fuse together as the solvent evaporates.
  • Performance: Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 200°F (93°C) and high pressure.

Types of CPVC Solvent

  • One-Step: Frequently used for smaller pipes (up to 2 inches) and does not require a separate primer.
  • Two-Step: Requires a primer (usually purple) to prepare the pipe surface, typically for pipes 2.5 inches and larger or industrial application.

Usage and Application

  • Application: Applied via brush (dauber) to both the pipe end and inside the fitting.
  • Assembly: Components should be joined quickly, twisted 1/4  turn, and held for roughly 30 seconds.
  • Curing: The joint cures through solvent evaporation, creating a permanent, leak-proof bond.

Note: CPVC cement is specifically formulated differently from PVC cement and should not be used interchangeably.
